"A Case Study on The Influence of Social Media on Teens' Self-Esteem" INTRODUCTION The world of technology is getting wider and bigger. In today's' era, given that our use of technology particularly on social media has been increasing because of the pandemic and other circumstances. Many studies have been conducted to investigate the positive and negative aspects of social media. Valkenburg, Peter, & Schouten (2006), concluded that "positive feedback on profiles enhanced adolescents' social self-esteem and well-being, whereas negative feedback decreased their self-esteem and well-being" (pp.584). The purpose of this study is to determine if social media influences teens' self-esteem and the best solutions to mitigate this kind of phenomenon.
